Answer: No, you may come at anytime during our regular hours. Be sure to allow enough time to complete your exam before the computers shut down/last submission time. The doors are locked one half hour before the computers shut down and no one will be allowed in after the doors are locked.
Answer: Bring your student ID or some other official photo ID. Bring a pencil if you intend to use scratch paper while taking the exam. We will furnish the scratch paper. You will be issued a clip board and paper when you check in. These items must be returned when you check out.
Answer: Yes, when you arrive at one of the Centers you will need to present your student ID. Please be sure you know your course number, course section, and instructors name so we can check you into the correct exam. You will be issued a clip board with scratch paper that must be returned when you check out.
Answer: First, a proctor will ask you to sit at a terminal. After you have turned off any electronic devises like cell phones or electronic dictionaries and stowed them away; place any materials like text books, back packs, or notes under the desk and out of view. You will then log into Blackboard and navigate to your exam. When you reach the point that requires the entry of a password you will raise your hand to get the attention of a proctor. The proctor will enter the password and close any extra windows that may be open.
Answer: Yes, after you have finished the exam log off the machine and go to the checkout counter with your student ID so you can checkout. You must also return the clip board and scratch paper before you will be allowed to checkout.
Answer: Your instructor should provide any rules specific to your exam. The Testing Centers do have the following rules:
Exam Rules
- All backpacks, books, and written materials are to be closed and placed under the desk or chair so as not to be viewable while taking the exam.
- Consultation, collaboration, or communication with others in an attempt to obtain answers is prohibited. Obtaining answers by viewing or copying another’s work is prohibited.
- You will be issued a clip board with scratch paper. These must be returned when you checkout.
- All electronic devices (e.g. cell phones, PDA’s, iPods, etc) must be shut off and stowed away during the exam.
- You may not use any removable media (e.g. Zip disks, memory sticks, etc.) while taking the exam.
- Once the proctor has opened the exam window you may not navigate away from the exam page until you have completed and submitted the exam. All extraneous open windows will have the site location recorded and then the window closed.
- Once the exam has started you will not be allowed to go to the restroom.
All witnessed infractions of the rules stated above will be reported to the instructor of the course

Answer: Most instructors require that you wait a specified period of time before retaking an exam. However if there is no such requirement in your course you may take multiple attempts. We do ask you to check-in for each attempt taken.

If the issue cannot be resolved go to either the check-in or checkout counter and have a staff member report the problem to the instructor.
